An intelligent investor is a realist who sells to optimists and buys from pessimists.
— Benjamin Graham

Our approach to investing is dictated by these core values:

  • Our foremost concern is the preservation of capital and achieving positive returns

  • We focus on companies with sound balance sheets and reliable dividends

  • We like exposure to companies with conservative levels of debt and dominant positions within their sector

  • We prefer companies that can earn a return on capital, greater than their cost of capital

  • Our preference is to co-invest with competent management teams who can demonstrate a consistent track record

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a client focused approach to wealth management. We operate a fee for service model and will not accept any commissions from any financial institutions. We also believe brokerage costs should be kept to a minimum for clients and that as your adviser we should not derive any benefit from this. These principles ensure that any investment advice provided to you is in your best interest.

Our investment philosophy focuses on conducting thorough macro-economic analysis which provides us with an overall picture of the global and domestic environment. From this point we identify securities which are likely to outperform in the context of their asset class and sector.
